I tried to match the Capcom’s sprites of Storm as much as I could. I used the same colors I used for Storm’s special palette in the GFX Generator, including color separation for the hair and eyes. The pose is mostly based on Paul Smith’s picture of Storm for “The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.”
The story arc that led Storm to this outfit is easily one of my favorite classic X-Men tales, and I always liked this design and how well Ororo was characterized while wearing it.
Awesome pixel art and choice of subject. :)

I just felt like drawing my two fav joes, Flint & Lady Jaye. I think they might be my favourite characters of the entire 80s, actually. Maybe.
Lady Jaye was amazing. She seemed like a more realistic member of G.I. Joe than Scarlett, and I was pissed as hell when the comics killed her off.

I kind of really meant it when I said I was going to cover the entire soundtrack to “The Wizard” in Famitracker. Here’s my collateral. Preparing to embrace Nintendo-commercial Hell. It’ll be done when it’s done.

Him: I was taught to fight, taught to win. I never thought I could fail. No fight, or so it seems, I am a man whose dreams have all deserted. I’ve changed my face, I’ve changed my name, but no one wants you when you lose.
Her: Don’t give up, ‘cause you have friends. Don’t give up, you’re not beaten yet. Don’t give up, I know you can make it good.
